It’s estimated that there are 100 - 200 billion galaxies in the observable universe. Take a moment to think about it. There are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand in all of the beaches on earth.
Doing this thought experiment, helps you put things into perspective. We are so inconsequential in reality, yet so involved in our own minds. Everything revolves around us. If Milky way galaxy evaporates tomorrow, it won’t make any difference in the universe. It’s like a stone missing from a beach. It’s basically a no event.
